Doug and Courtney Weittenhiller started Blue Dandelion Photography, a fine art wedding and portrait photography company. Doug has a background in science and education, making him our technical guru and curriculum designer. Courtney previoulsy worked professionally as a nurse in Labor and Delivery, giving her unique experience with newborns. They have been married for 13 years and have four littles. They’ve learned to balance each other out personally and professionally. Doug’s the night owl; Courtney is an early riser. She is quiet; he’s chatty. Diet Coke versus coffee. They are living proof that opposites DO attract. Their escapes stretch from adventure and fantasy films, pretty much anything Disney, and wherever Southwest flies.
Bobbi Petersen launched The Salty Peanut Photography and catered toward boutique weddings and portraits with special emphasis to high school seniors. Bobbi developed a unique marketing and business strategy for running her business and in 2013 started working with other photographers offering business consulting services. Bobbi’s husband Jon was a Infantryman in the US Army and currently works for the State of Wisconsin. Jon is also a writer and does the majority of the blogging and writing for Twig & Olive. They will have been married for 7 years this September. Jon and Bobbi have a 3 year old who keeps them on their toes as well as a rescue greyhound and a cat named Pot Roast. San Antonio, Texas is their home away from home and enjoy traveling and adventure.
In early 2015, these two entities merged their companies and something new was formed.
